Make-and-Take/Parent's Night Out

Tonight we had a FANTASTIC night planned for our parents! We had a hot dog supper and Make-and-Take Activities planned for the parents to make for their children. Mrs. Hicks, Mr. Palmer, and Ms. Strum met with all the 4th grade parents and shared with them some of the things that we needed to know to prepare for the State test that we will take in May!

Read Across America/Dr. Seuss' Birthday

The Library all set up for Read Across America Day!

We were celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday.

Today our school celebrated Read Across America Day as well as Dr. Seuss' Birthday. We were very fortunate to have college students that are in school to become teachers come and read to us. Ms. Sasser works hard with Dr. Sheppard to make sure that there are enough readers to come to our school.

Ms. Amber Cockrell came and read to our class. Ms. Cockrell read Bartholomew and the Oobleck. It was the first time for some of us to hear this story that was written by Dr. Seuss.

We are enjoying listening to Ms. Cockrell read Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

What a GREAT book!

A SPECIAL THANKS to Ms. Cockrell for coming and reading to our class. We enjoyed celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday with you!

Ms. Sasser hard at work making sure that everyone has a Dr. Seuss' Reader.
